Burberry My Burberry, Top notes: Mandarin orange, grapefruit, lemon Middle notes: Pear, freesia, geranium, peach, green leaves, gardenia, passion fruit Base notes: Rose, patchouli, musk, leather, violet Upon first contact with the skin, it’s as if multiple citrus fruits burst open simultaneously, releasing a unique and refreshing fragrance. It also contains the rarely seen sweet pea, with a delicate, pure, and rich aroma. Mixed with lemon, it offers a soft yet slightly tart lemon scent. The top notes are a slightly powdery floral-fruity fragrance. In the middle notes, the powdery scent reaches its peak, presenting a very gentle fragrance. The familiar freesia, with its pleasant and refreshing aroma, is complemented by the unique fruity notes of peach and pear. The ingredient list includes quince, which I looked up: “Quince, a deciduous small tree. Young branches are pubescent. Leaves are ovate or oblong, dark green on the upper surface and densely pubescent on the lower surface. Flowers are solitary at the branch tips, white or pink. Fruit is pear-shaped, yellow, and fragrant. Flowering period is from [month] to [month]. Prefers sunlight but can tolerate partial shade. Highly adaptable and cold-hardy.” A key characteristic of the middle notes is the full release of fruity aromas at this point. Further in, you’ll also smell the fragrance of rose, the “Queen of Flowers,” Damask rose, with a rich, oil-like scent and a sweet aroma reminiscent of a refined lady, particularly captivating. The dry down features patchouli, rose, and violet, giving it a slightly spicy note, but still retaining a soft and delicate fragrance with almost no patchouli. The subtle scent is reassuring, and the leather note is barely noticeable; those who dislike leather can enjoy it without worry. The longevity and sillage are quite good.
