Upon receiving the original design, many experienced fabric suppliers felt the fabric was stunning in terms of feel, design, and color. However, this also presented a challenge: no matter how skilled the fabric supplier, they simply couldn’t replicate it. From April until autumn, we searched for a fabric supplier capable of producing this garment. The entire body isn’t simply stitched together; the front and back feature seamless embossed patterns and inlaid lettering. After three months of searching, we found many fabric factories that suggested weave the fabric directly on a circular knitting machine like ribbing, then cut it to size. Even with more waste, this would achieve the same effect as the original. After a month of sampling, the project ultimately failed because the circular knitting machine couldn’t reach the required dimensions for men’s clothing. Undeterred, we persevered and eventually found a domestic factory specializing in custom-made specialty fabrics, which solved the problem. We then commissioned AB yarn identical to the original design, and after fabric weaving, sampling, cutting, and ribbed zipper stitching, the garment finally appeared before everyone. Countless times we considered giving up, countless times we considered using cheaper yarn, but ultimately we thought that after so much effort, there was no need to cater to the market and save money. Things became simpler afterward, including the zipper, which we made with the same drip-molded material as the original. Custom-made zippers take at least a month to produce. By the end, we were exhausted; this was probably the last batch, and we didn’t have the energy to reorder. Currently, we have stock in our warehouse.
